The Ophelia Project Conference focuses on creative and engaging ways to mobilize community and school resources to advocate for girls. Innovative, collaborative models for lasting systemic change and proven program practices will be featured.

Conference Goals

1. Engage community teams of educators, community leaders, program specialists, and parents to begin the process of community change to develop the full potential of girls
2. Create awareness through expert information on current girls' issues
3. Share the best community initiatives from across the country
4. Empower participants to envision and create their own collaborative initiative for their local community
5. Provide opportunities for participants to evaluate their own role and responsibility in creating change
   

Sponsorship Goals

1. To attract over 400 educators, business and community leaders, program managers, counselors, and concerned parents to collaborate with leading experts on issues unique to girls;
2. To form partnerships with corporations and foundations that uphold these same values and principles.
