The Ophelia Institute™ is a partnership between The Ophelia Project and Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. While The Ophelia Institute™ is still in its developmental stages, in the near future it will fulfill the following goals:

  1. To conduct basic and applied research in support of social aggression (with an emphasis on relational aggression) initiatives in the school context. Specifically, issues related to social aggression across age periods and domains.
  2. To develop and disseminate educational materials, including 'train-the-trainer' educational programs to reach more teachers, counselors, administrators and students in our schools.
  3. To develop Web-based and traditional outreach materials which expand the awareness of and provide tools to address social aggression among children and adolescents.
  4. To impact change in school, local, state, federal and other policies which affect school and community-based initiatives to address social aggression.
  5. To provide accredited workshops and seminars for teachers, counselors, administrators and parents working with schools utilizing online technologies.
