Congratulations, Katie!

Local woman, Katie Chriest, successfully kayaked solo nearly 30 miles across Lake Erie on Friday, August 26, 2005 in an effort to raise community awareness and support for The Ophelia Project. She left from Long Point, Ontario at approximately 7:55 a.m. and arrived at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies in Erie, PA just before 3:00 p.m. to a welcome back gathering of friends and family members.

The Ophelia Project would like to thank everyone who helped make Project Paddle a success...especially our amazing kayaking friend, Katie.
